New design
Unlike conventional lift gates that transmit bending loads into the chassis, our system places a central hydraulic lifting foot on the ground to take the load. This ground-reaction approach enables a compact, lightweight module with controlled platform tilt for precise handling. It interfaces with a receiver hitch or a dedicated rear bracket on trucks, vans, and pickups, minimizing structural changes and enabling fast, single-person attach/detach.
About Us
Felix Schmid—the inventor behind our lightweight, central-hub liftgate—is from Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. After 20+ years in the industry, Felix partnered with Jennifer and Nicolas Fischer-Knecht to bring this patented technology to market (U.S. Patent No. 11,890,982).
In Europe, the technology is proven in service; in 2024 the European patent has been successfully sold to ALTEC GmbH (Germany).
We’re now focused on the United States and Canada: the product is not yet available in the U.S., and we’re seeking established manufacturers/upfitters interested in licensing or partnering to bring this innovation to North America.
